Current Job Openings
We begin taking applications for the positions below in March. The positions are open until filled. Before applying please email Doug to verify if the position is still available.
We offer internship opportunities for young adults interested in exploring missions as a possible vocation. The following objectives are set forth to clarify our intentions for these positions.
- Internships are in a specific departmental role and involve training and work experience in executing responsibilities primarily in that area. Interns are not ‘gophers’ nor do they ‘shadow’ their supervisor. They work as integral members of our team, both supervised and independently, serving students, staff, and volunteers.
- Interns agree to enter into a formal spiritual formation program as a part of the group experience. Community living, mentoring and intentional processing of the internship experience are part of the program.
- Professional development to acquire marketable skills and exposure to mission or ministry opportunities beyond the departmental role is part of the experience. This is not ‘just a part time job’. Interns will be asked to participate in group activities and interdepartmental functions that serve to round out the experience.
Many families in our little town of Porvenir have been asking us for months if we could teach their children English. With some donated resources, we are now ready to start teaching an after school ESL program. The only thing we are missing...an ESL coordinator. Please take a look at the following PDF for more information.
